NAMARINA is Indonesia’s pioneering non-formal institution for ballet, dance, and wellness. Founded in 1956 by the late Nanny Lubis with a mission to nurture a stronger and healthier nation, NAMARINA has grown into a leading center of ballet, dance and wellness. Over the decades, we have developed outstanding teachers, dancers, and wellness instructors who embody dedication, discipline, and creativity.
In 1970, NAMARINA became affiliated with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), United Kingdom, one of the world’s most prestigious ballet institutions, and has since participated annually in its international examinations. Alongside this, we have built our own comprehensive curriculum for ballet, jazz dance, and wellness, designed to guide our students’ growth and complemented by in-house examinations.
With more than 60 professional teachers, along with administrative and communications staff, NAMARINA continues to expand its impact on Indonesian society. Guided by our vision—“Vigorous Indonesians with empathy, aesthetic awareness, and creative human resources”—we remain committed to our missions:
* To deepen understanding of dance, particularly ballet and jazz dance.
* To instill enduring values through education.
* To promote health and well-being through fitness.
* To strengthen social bonds, foster aesthetic sensitivity, and inspire creativity through the art of dance.
